sneaking the first piece.7.28.2010
we made a delicious mocha brownie cake for my birthday. the fellas helped, and yes, i made my own cake, but it's what i wanted to do. i wanted to have this cake, not on my birthday as much as for my birthday. i must say i thought about this bite all morning. i came in after our morning activities and hand the first slice, before lunch, alone in the kitchen, savoring each bite. there's something child like and sneaky in having this before my meal. indulgent & tasty.
