the caterpillar glow.7.29.2010
i have loved the radiance of these caterpillars from my garden. they're clinging to the carrot stems that i pulled for the children in the preschool class during vbs this week. everyone was enchanted by them. children pulled parents into the classroom to show them these creatures. adults and children from other classes came by to visit and see their growth. each seemed to double overnight. we had a grand time, and i loved each minute of their work and life in view. watching them eat, rest, and move was great fun (especially after hearing the recent npr story on caterpillars on treadmills and how they move from their gut. fascinating.)
