4.8.2010there really is something to looking in the pantry at what's there and knowing that you can make pasta and top it with the pesto (basil) in the fridge made earlier in the week. it's good to take one day to make hummus, pesto, dough... to have on hand for the days that you'd rather spend outdoors, in the garden, or yesterday: using the broom & cleaning house! it's good to know that our hands can do so much to create: food, space, art, love, and growth. i'm in awe each day of what each of our hands can do as we create. from the newly tilled soil of my son's garden to the sand play artistically left for the next day, i see the work of our hands all around. i speak of joy.
