garden play.
3.16.2010parsley picking in the glorious sunshine of an afternoon. this parsley has been with us some time. we are so thankful to have green spaces where we can play outdoors. we are so thankful for dirt that holds our green herbs, which we love. i play the game "if i could only have one herb... what would it be?" today it's parsley. i love parsley and then parsley pesto that topped my first batch of gnocchi was great. the gnocchi turned out well, with the weekend's left-over mashed potatoes. seems to be a theme of leftovers used creatively this week. oh, and if you don't make your own pasta: you really, really should. it's very easy & has a flavor of its own. i can't wait for the fresh tomatoes to come this summer, with fresh basil, on top of fresh bread or home made pasta!
