day ninety

admiring tasha's sunshine.
3.31.2010

i've said that i want my garden to be a collection of stories, and it's been that way for years. my first garden all my own resides at my mother's home. it's filled with a few bulbs & herbs of my days there. a rosemary bush that's over 15 years old, too. my garden here took a number of years to grow. from the plot outside a carriage house filled with my first reaction to poison ivy *not fun* to the strip at the community house we lived, the community garden at a church i once worked, and now: the entirety of our yard. i noticing plants growing in dirt-filled spaces. these tulips are gorgeous and demand attention. visiting my friend's house for the second time this week, i admired these stalks of pure sun, taking a couple of photos. i stopped for a moment, enjoying her work stirring up dirt in other spaces of her yard for new seeds to be planted. you can see more of her stirrings through her flickr stream: tashamck.
