oh, i love our garden. i love the garden that you can see and the one that you cannot: the garden underneath the soil. my worms are beautiful creatures, delighting in their creative path, moving through the earth with their own mission & purpose. when the soil is turned they, too, are turned and uprooted. i see their squiggly bodies and am entranced. in the right space, they provide just what the soil needs. in the wrong space, they can be destructive serving their purpose. these worms, i hope, are doing the good they are meant to do. i hope these worms are the right match for a garden patch. i know the compost worms are happy. hopefully soon i'll have a worm bin, and i can watch their creative path through life. i hope that my life is much like these beautiful creatures, that with each day i'm creating the space to live life fully and to serve my purpose. i hope that with each creative step there is healing from within that is shared with others. yes, i should expect to see more theological reflection from my observation of worms. i love these creatures.
