day seventy-nine

argh. friendly skulls & bones.
3.20.2010

inspired by one of the ladies at the stitch & b group as well as natalie chanin's alabama stitch book, i whipped together a little skull & bones for jo today as a part of his pirate costume for a friend's birthday. i've made a couple others for him & will be finishing off a project for jo's birthday: goodie bag treats turned thank you gifts. there were too many ideas to see through, which isn't a bad thing. sometimes less is more. and more is sometimes too much. as i create, i'm trying to focus and simplify. i think this little reverse applique' speaks to those tenets: less is more. focus and simplify.
