high seas adventure. 2.21.2010
i love being near or in water, especially in such good weather. today's creative act involved boarding and climbing the many stairs around this battleship at Nauticus in Norfolk. the stairs were slender and some quite steep, which isn't an easy task for me. i'm not sure why. no fear is involved, but i think it's the lack of grace on the part of my feet! it was lovely being near the water and getting such a view. i quietly considered my grandfather's navy history from WW2. we really enjoy all these little adventures on the high seas, especially learning about real pirates from the o-so-cool national geographic exhibit there. the day became a sabbath rest on the drive home, enjoying the dark ride. these little trips are good for our family. arriving home once again is good as well.
