oh, the work of our hands. spending part of the day working the the garden, weeding near the growing herbs and foliage, tilling the soil, and talking along the way. i love the connections my son makes to the earth's provisions and our table. i love that my son digs up worms and exclaims with excitement each time. i love this time getting my hands in the soil, working with what is good beneath our feet. oh, the good earth!
