day three hundred forty-two

recognizing shapes.
12.8.2010

while picking up my sweet one from preschool, i stepped into the space to see something of what his hands were working on with the other children. i don't know who made these impressions in the play dough or who merged the colors in such a wonderful way, but i know that these hands were creative. creative out of natural movements and play. not in trying or seeking creativity, but as natural as breathing. this creative act is a gift to those young hands and old hands alike. recognizing the shapes of creativity that are boundless, that are natural, and that hold significance and meaning.
