delighting in a perfect fall afternoon spent at a friend's chili cook-off, i loved walking in the spaces of her home and yard. i loved watching my boy run and play, walk her dog, and take joy in winning a pottery bowl for 3rd place chili. how fun! each moment was delightful and i savored in each taste, each smell, each bloom, and each conversation. lovely.
