i love planting sunflowers as often as i'm able. though the golden gift of the jumbo seeds took root and started to grow, as with other years some gnawing creature has had her fill. perhaps the adorable bunny that shows up from time to time, i'm not sure. somehow there are a few that make it to their achieved height and begin to blossom into what they were created to be: pure beauty and delight. i still hope that thought i cannot see them now, there are some jumbo sunflowers among the other two varieties blooming. in this creative presence, i embody awe, gratitude and hope.
