day one hundred sixty-seven

a story of space.
6.16.2010

as i sat in a kindred spirit's office making plans for some upcoming art+spirit & bread making sessions i was given the gift of the story of this little ecosphere. inside it were three small brine shrimp, a snail, and greenery: everything that this little world needed for the life span of brine shrimp (about two years). this ecosphere lasted 5 years, with the last remaining shrimp leaving it's world. you can see the last shrimp fallen along the bed of rocks. it's a beautiful scene of life returning to life, as each shrimp consumes the other becoming life for one another. yet, there's nothing to consume this last shrimp. she will carry this to her newly constructed compost & garden. it's a story i enjoyed hearing in it's telling. i believe this image rich with theology & spirituality, i want to share it with you. how does this telling strike you? a creative act, shared over and again...
