day one hundred sixty-five

jam making, baby.
6.14.2010

what a gorgeous color for plum jam. these plums have been collected for a week from our sweet plum tree. after 4 + years of growth, it's seen it's best year of harvest to date. we celebrate that harvest with 4+ jars of jam, ready to be savored one bite at a time. canning, whether jelly, jam, or preserves (among other forms) is a long-time family tradition. i love the connection to my brother (an avid canner) and my grandparents. i delight in such creative acts.
