my son ran into the bedroom where i was feeling a bit weary saying, "mommy, mommy. come: look, look. come see something so special. you're going to LOVE it!" of course, i got out of bed and walked with him to his bedroom window to see the bright red nasturtium blooming in his own garden. two blooms. he chose these seeds among three others: melons, daikon radish, and carrots. what a fun boy i have. i'm thrilled, absolutely thrilled to be awoken with such joy and amazement over what his little hand have helped plant and water in the soil. makes this mama proud.
Oh joy! These are just gorgeous. Jo must be so proud. And you too! We planted some not too long ago - I'm hoping it's not too late for some beautiful blooms.
ReplyDeletethere must be time, as these were the first and they keep on coming. we've shared them over 2 meals so far + our own salads. i know he is very proud. the variety in colors keeps us talking, too! can't wait to see your garden, and perhaps try one of your kickin' kale green smoothies. :)
