a prayer.5.9.2010
mother's day weekend brings up a variety of emotions, as my grandmother who mothered me along with her daughter, my mother, died nine years ago. her "heaven date" or death comes this week, and i light my candle honoring her. i connect with her through my art, through the piece of fabric i wear. i connect with her as i mother, as i care for my garden & the soil, as i work in our home. i remember the mothers whose children have died. i remember the children whose mothers have died. i remember sherry. it's a practice i think i'll always carry, and this mother's day i write. full text on my blog revartmom.
