cutting in prayer.4.20.2010
moving slowly yesterday, i finally listened to wisdom speaking: rest. after spending some good, creative time resting, (yes, it is creative: creating dreams, restoring the mind, body, and spirit while breathing deeply) i spent some good creative time cutting. the part i most love is selecting the places to cut, creating a particular color story or story of the fabric in the way you cut the block. some fabrics are such that i just want the cuts lined up, whereas others the turn of the fabric matters, and i love each rectangle. this quilt is an offering in prayer: my prayers mingled with the hands that selected each fabric.
