taking note: lenten rose.3.8.2010
the hellebores are coming up with blooms. i wasn't sure what 6 of their colors would be, as they've taken 2 years to reach maturation for blooming. the purple are up and i knew of their color, as they bloomed last year. i took note of this delicate, lovely bloom and was delighted. there is something creative in the waiting and expectation that takes shape under the earth, in the dark spaces of the soil. i wish i had more to do with this process. i am happy to plant, cover, and care for what is given. i am especially thankful for the presence & awareness to see, touch, and witness this created beauty.
