hello.

called to create is a play off of a title given to an interview i did some time ago with the editor of christ & creativity on fidelia's sisters, the young clergy women's online journal. the interviews continue and the title moves with each artist-minister-clergywoman. i am called to create, as are we all, i believe. through called to create i will upload images of my daily pursuit to live creatively, through all acts of life. however mundane & repetitious, however simple or profound the images & meaning, i'll share one a day throughout 2010. inspired by other blogs which aim to provide a daily discipline, i do nothing new here, but offer as an act of creating. while i fast from media one day a week, i'll determine a way to post that day's chosen creative act.

part of the discipline here is in what i record visually & through word. many of my movements through the day would be named as creative acts, only one will be recorded here. my other blog will have the same flow that it's had since it's beginning: life in ministry, motherhood, and the arts. this blog shall be more focused, intuiting the creative spirit's call to create and how i follow that call each day.
