reading for pleasure.
1.12.2010
my mind is filled with images of blue waters, a kitchen filled with freshly made tortillas, and a boy writing in his journal. i love the creative way in which others use their words to tell a story. i'm never disappointed with barbara kingsolver. there's something about reading or listening to the radio that always engages the creative process by using one's imagination. i love creating images of those spaces & faces that are created by words. the world in which they live is my world. none of us picture a story in the same way, just as no two stitches on the same quilt are never fully alike. underneath the blanket made by my great-grandmother i engage these words & allow my imagination to create.
